I woke up today and thought to myself ...past lives... have i had one??? If when you die and you get re-incarnated then unless theres a waiting period the day you were born might be the day you died in your previous life. So then i thought about what ive heard about reincarnation from watching tv programmes and in books and that and isnt it the case that people undergo hypnosis and start saying theyre someone famous like joan of arc or mary queen of scots or Napoleon? i really think thats their overactive imagination, or theyre deliberately making up bs. i wonder maybe if hypnosis isnt all that reliable - but even if people do imagine things whilst being hypnotized and believe they were someone else it doesnt mean that you dont have past lives so does anyone here believe you have more than one life? i dont not believe and i dont believe, im neither a believer in it or a non believer - basically i dont have enough evidence to say one way or the other so i dont know but its an interesting thought that your birthday could actually be the day you died in your last life (assuming you had one)

I have no idea either way on this. Anything is possible. Many believe we have to come back time and again so we can learn our lessons from our previous lives. Thats fair enough but if we dont know what we did wrong in our life before how can we fix it. I agree that people who say they were someone famous have over active imaginations. I did hear a story about a young girl who was taken to France for a holiday and was able to take her parents to places even they had never been. The girl took them to where she said she used to live. I think the child was only about seven at the time. How true this is I dont know as we only have the parents word for this.

Ive been doing some more thinking and the more I think about this the weirder it gets.
If people do get reincarnated then there must be a waiting period as the same amount of people that die every day arent born each day. Of course "time" is something no one really understands but if say (and this is probably not very accurate but you get the idea) if say 100,000 people die every day worldwide and say 200,000 are born theres not enough people dying to be reincarnated. The figures dont add up. Im pretty sure more are born every day than die so to me it seems like reincarnation (if it happens) is quite complicated.

I looked it up. Someone dies every 10 seconds and every 5 seconds someone is born.

Good point. Some say that we get to choose if we want to be reincarnated or not.

Sorry if this is a stupid question and I've missunderstood... but is this reffering to the fact that if we do get reincarnated... we are reincarnated as humans? Some people must beleive we are reincarnated as humans again (I don't) but others beleive we are reincarnted as animals, or even rocks or plants, which is a firm beleif of their religion and they have no choice whether they reincarnate or not, and it depends on their previous lives (whether they've sinned or been wonderful) what they are reincarnated as. And they have to be reincarnated over and over until they are 'perfect' and can live with their God in Heaven. But I always wonder... let's say you were bad 'un in your human life, so you came back as a worm as a result, how do you exceed the sins and seek forgiveness by doing good... if your a worm. What makes a good worm? Otherwise, such a beleif could be a plausible theory. I don't really beleive in reincarnation anyway... not whole heartedly anyway. It could be comforting concept to some individuals though, like if their loved ones came back as their pet dog or something.

I DONT WANT TO COME BACK AS A WORM. I dont believe in reincarnation and especially that we come back as an animal or a rock. Even if its true we come back as human to atone for our sins, the whole thing is worthless since we dont remember what we did wrong in our previous lives. Its like smacking a child but not telling them why.

It's the Hindu's etc that particularly beleive in that process, where we can come back as animals etc.
I don't know either, I do think it's pointless. I suppose their argument will be that we have to learn on our own.

Some say that our lives are governed by how we were in a previous life...mmmmmmmm.. I must have been a really horrid person then.

I beleive in past lives to certain extent. But not reincarnation really. Most people have a bit of both. I've had the worst time of my life and the best.

The answer to your question is no, however, I do believe it is possible that such thoughts can enter our subconscious. Thoughts, even past thoughts (other peoples thoughts), travelling through time and space... getting entrapped in our own psyche. We only use a quarter of our brain capacity so why not the half that isn’t used – or a portion of it – being receptive to other peoples wavelengths? If that is the case/ possibility then it would explain why we see ghosts etc. It will also explain a lot of other strange phenomena we have experienced.
