A couple of ufos were sighted over part of worthing on monday night. At first it was thought to be the police helicopter with its search light on...but there was no engine noise...they were two extremely bright lights that seemed to just hover in the sky for 2 or3 mins and then shoot of over the downs!!!!!

that interesting. sometimes airliners on final approach can look like theyre hovering if youre standing directly in front of them and theyre approx. 5 miles away and you wouldnt hear any engine noise at all.
<<shoot of over the downs!!!!!>> that would rule out helicopters and also planes. it would rule out flares too. they can be very bright and appear to sit in the sky but they dont shoot off anywhere. fireworks can be ruled out too and balloons obviously. ive heard of lights hovering and shooting off at a high speed many times , i cant see how they can be manned as the G-forces would be too great.
i cant think what those lights could have been
