I found this...
I was around 20 years of age, living in Phoenix with my folks. My mother had crossed the street to visit with neighbors. They were outside on the porch, and I decided to go over and visit.
As I started to cross the street, I looked upward toward the right between the horizon and 12:00 high. I saw an orange globe with a dark center. Thinking it was a reflection from behind (I wear glasses), I looked back but could not see anything that might be reflected of my lenses. I looked up again, and there was this round, orange globe with the center. The dark center had opened up larger, like an iris. I looked toward my mom's direction and was going to tell here to see this thing with me. I heard a voice in my head say, "Don't tell."
I looked back at the globe and this time the iris had opened up wider and I could "see" something that looked like a frog in front of a console or table. His hands were holding two control levers and he would move them back and forth with his arms. His feet were working pedals. I then decided to tell my mom what I was seeing, but the thing said, "Don't tell." I then looked up at the thing and it was gone.
All I remember after that was my mom walking on my left, asking me what it was that I was going to say, and I could not tell her and recall saying, "Oh, it was nothing, I can't remember."
Later, when I was about 42 years old, I was at a book store and bought two UFO books. In one of the books I read a story about a man, a soldier I think, who saw a similar orange globe with an iris-like opening, and the thing spoke to him, but it was a lizard-type being. I began shaking like crazy, could not stop, and threw the book away after telling my wife what had happened.
Since then, I have tried to find that book again in hopes of contacting the author and see if he could not give me information on who the soldier was.
