Is there life on other planets?
I cant see why not.
I see it as an arrogance for man to assume we are the only *coughs* intelligent life in the vastness of the universe.
What say you?

I agree with you cam... I can't believe in an infinate mass that we and all the creatures we share earth with are the only forms of life in the Universe.

Exactly..why should we be the only ones.
Not too sure that little green men have been visiting us but who knows.

I have seen a UFO, the same one or the same kind of one on more than one occasion, it freaked me out. I swear down, it wasn't a plane or satellite or any other kind of human air craft, there is no way it could be. I will describe it to you if you want to know, then I can hear what you think it might be, or not be. Anyway... My theory on alien life is this: There are more stars than grains of sand on this planet, and most of those stars will have planets, so I'm guessing thats an awful lot of planets! And they are telling me that, we are the only life, or intellingent life in the universe? I don't think so. They can't prove this. And not only that, there are other galaxies. So how on earth (hahaha aren't I funny) can they tell me that we are the only life in the universe or whatever. In fact the chances of there being other life similar to ourselves is bigger than there not being other life out there. I think they much be indenial.

Well, it was last summer, I was out camping in the countryside, near where my grandmother lives, with my cousin who is no longer with us.
It was a clear, summers night and the stars were out, I love the stars, they looked amazing. We put the blanket out and decided to lay and just watch the stars.
As we lay there, my cousin said "look, whats that?" And pointed over to what I would describe as a moving star in the sky. This is what we both saw, we sat and watched for at least a minute:
There were plenty of stars in the sky, but the UFO we saw, looked exactly like a normal star, no flashing lights, no noise, just looked like a star. But it wasn't a star, because it was moving, pretty fast, it wasn't going a dead on straight line, it was moving across the sky, and it would be travelling along and when it came to a star, it carried on and on until it quickly doged out of the way of the star and carried on. It looked like it was deliberately, getting as close the stars before it had to move out the way so it didn't crash into them. Then after it had travelled quite a distance across the sky, it then stop moving across and slowly moved upwards, until it disappeared.
It was too fast for a satellite and wasn't following any certain orbit. It couldn't have been a plane, there were no flashing lights and no noise.
And the thing that makes me think it coulf have been a real UFO is that, it was among the stars, moving in and out of them and dodging them, then carrying on. I don't think there is any manmade aircraft or machine that can do that, or does that, is there?
My cousin was freaked out, I was amazed, then freaked out. But after that we saw about 3 more.
But what they did was they just appeared, we didn't see them coming in from the distance, they appeared at one end of all the stars, where we were lying, travelled along and then disappeared again.
I haven't seen them in any other part of the sky apart from where we were camping and that area. I think its fascinating and I would love to know what they are.
What do you think?

Would have loved to have seen that.
I have no idea at all what it could have been.
Have you tried ufo sites..ones that give explanations for what we might think are ufo's?
If you can rule out any natural explanation then you may well have seen something,.
If there is life out there then I expect they would visit us.Probably scared we will blow the whole universe out of the sky..lol.

Yeah, I did look on loads of sites, but no explanation I found offered advice or information to do with what I saw. Not heard of any other account like it, yet. I am at lost at what it could be, it certainly does rule out all explanations we could think of anyway.
They are probably scared of us, as much as the stupid American films make us out to be scared of them!

You cant rule out a natural explanation as there are so many objects in our skies but its an interesting one.
Is good really that you could find nothing similar to your experience.
If Aliens do visit earth then I doubt they would be scared of us in the conventional sense.More scared of what havoc we could wreak if we got further into space.

Well I can, and I have.
What natural explanation could it have?
I wish more people could have seen it.
It was up there with the stars! Moving fast, no flashy lights, dodging the stars, then dissapearing upwards til it was gone.
Well, the sites on the internet aren't of much use, I think half the sightings and stories are made up so...

You can never rule out a natural explanation jay.

Yes I can and I have.
Well, what natural explanation could it have then?

I have no idea Jay.
The governments throw up all kinds of things into the skies now.
Could well have been aliens you saw but just as equally might not have been.
Unless one lands in trafaglar square we probably will never know.

But nothing has gone to the stars, not that close anyway, to move that fast right up to them and dogde them!
That is why I am so confused, whatever it is, I just want to know!

Maybe it was satelites? Maybe it was alien craft.
As with everything, only the person who saw it can really be convinced in their own mind of what it was.

Erm satellites aren't that close to the stars, and they travel in what appears to us to be a straight line, they travel in a programmed orbit.
This was not a satellite.
And there are 3 people that have seen it and none of us know what it is. And my cousin was that freaked by it, she wouldn't let me talk about it! haha!

Did you report what you saw as when you do they can tell you if it was something they know about.

No I didn't report it, but if I see it again, I might.

I dont know of the agency you report to but I do know that they look into any sightings. Probably find it on the net.

I did e-mail a few people about it but they never got back to me, so I thought, screw it.
I have seen other things, but this is the one that has got me.

If there is alien life, and I suspect there is somewhere out there, it has never been to this planet.... unless we were the product of seed plantation millions of years ago by an alien race.
Sightings of such alien beings are just mythical beasts planted in our psyche by imaginative people. If aliens did have the technology to come all this way then they would also have the knowledge, ability, and sophistication to keep out of our way, and not be seen.

The universe seems to be infinate and if we have life then it stands to reason other planets do as well.
