Are UFO's for real ? Are people just seeing something natural and putting it down to aliens visiting. Do people who say they have seen spaceships and aliens close up need a psychiatrist.? My thoughts...the universe is immense.Too huge for us to even begin to imagine and we are the ONLY intelligent life? ? I would not be surprised if there was other life out there that is far advanced to us.# If so then I assume they would want to check us out. Poor things...travelling millions of light years just to come across this sorry excuse for a planet. I have never seen a ufo and really dont know if they are for real but I wont discount the possibility.

In my opinion...
There are more stars than grains of sand in the world, and at least some, if not most, of those stars will have planet/s. And not only that but there are more galaxies in the universe than just this one.
And they're telling me there is no other life anywhere else in the Universe, other than us? I don't think so, somehow. How do they even know? We can't even travel or see that far into the Universe to come to such conclusions that we are the only intelligent life.
I've seen a UFO, on more than one occasion, not saying it was alien aircraft or anything, but no one so far has been able to explain it, it was the wierdest thing.
I think that somewhere out there, there has to be some other form of life, probably better than us as well!

I do like the grain of sand analogy...so true.
We saw lights over the back of us one night. Upside down cones is the best way to describe the biggest one. The next morning my ex went over the back to be met by the army with what he thought were giant metal detectors. He go told to p off and was not allowed to carry on.
We saw nothing at all in the papers about it.
Who knows what went on over there.

Wow, that is so cool. Nothing exiting like that ever happens here, or to me. I always read about the army being involved with UFO's though. But they do try and keep everything a secret, I wonder why.
My dad told me the sand thing one time, and I never forgot it.

Someone must have reported it, otherwise how would they have known to come and investigate? Unless they knew themselves and had their own version of Area 51 going on.
I saw, one summers night when we were out camping in the countryside, with my cousin...
There were hundreds of stars out above us and we were laying on the ground just looking at them... then my cousin pointed out "look whats that?" over to, what I would describe as looking exactly like a moving star...
At first I thought it was a satellite, but then realised it couldn't have been as it wasn't moving in a straight line, it had no particular orbit. It wasn't a plane, there was only one light, that to the naked eye, look exactly like a star, same shape, same size, same colour, same distance away.
It was travelling pretty damn fast from the left side of the sky to the right, and it was in among the stars, as every time it came right up to a star, before quickly 'dodging' out of the way and carrying on and not only that but it was travelling in a kind of 'wobbly' line across the sky.
I've never seen anything like it before, or heard about anything similar, I just know its nothing of humankind. Because after travelling like that, it started travelling not across but upwards, up into 'space' until it could no longer be seen.
But it happened more than once, it would just appear at the left side of the sky everytime and do the same thing, I don't know if it was the same one or there were more of them. But it certainly scared my cousin and I wasn't allowed to talk about it!

I would have thought that lots of people must have seen the lights. My ex says he thinks it was in the papers but I dont recall.
Oh my..that is very interesting.
At first I thought maybe it was a comet but the pattern of movement does not fit.
No comet would dodge a star.
I think there are places you can call to ask if anything has been going on in an area but really dont know who.

I saw an amazing comet/meteor once, when we were camping.
I really have not got a clue. I looked around at the time, but no one else had seen it, no similar accounts. I don't know... I'm sure more people would have seen it too though, it happened a few times.

I have seen a few comets but never a meteor to my knowledge.
Could it have been a meteor shower.?

I don't know what the difference is between a meteor or a comet?
It definately wasn't a meteor shower, my cousin would have said otherwise as she had seen a meteor shower before, but I haven't. And there was only one of them each time... and the patterns it was travelling in, I doubt it was.

I dont really know the difference either.
Only one light at one time but they kept coming? That is weird.
The trouble with sightings is that we really have no idea what they could be.
We dont know how much the governments are throwing up there.

But do you know of anything man made that can reach the stars in one peice and then travel among them at a speed and dodge them so closely? It was up with the stars, so it must have been lightyears away. I'll have to do some searching and try and find out.
It happened more than 5 times at least.

I really dont know anything about space science at all.
Maybe they were satellites.? I have no idea how they move about.
Your experience does sound strange and not like anything I can think of that would be natural.

All satellites move in the same orbit around the earth at a continous speed, they never stop, never change orbit as they are made and have been programmed by man.
This thing was faster and had no particular orbit. And it wasn't moving in a perfect line, like satellites do. But I doubt that anything man-made can reach the stars yet.

Its quite alright, I don't know much either, I only know this stuff cos I had to research before I told everyone. We have spaceships, like to the moon and to mars and stuff, but I don't know or didn't think we had any that went as far as the stars!

No, planets are like earth, mars and all that and stars are a seperate thing all together, like the sun is a star, and you get different types of stars, like red dwarf and red giant, the sun is a star, can't remember what it point it is at in its life cycle though. I think.

Well stars, or most stars have a life cycle, where they go through change, I can't remember that much of it, but they can change in size and colour I think. I think there is white dwarf, red dwarf, red giant and some others, they can change from one to another, but not sure what order or anything, I learned about it yonks ago.

I didn't really enjoy learning about it, but I had to do some research when I saw my UFO.
But I'm the same as you, I just like to sit there and watch them, I love the stars. They always remind me of my place in the universe and make all my problems seem so small and insignificant, even if its just for a while, love it.

Thats cool, I had one, not got a clue where it is now though.
Venus is easy to find, its one of the first stars out, its alot brighter than all the others and slightly bigger and usually it doesn't have many other stars around it.
