(*These were my father's parents)
I had a dream the other night it was really cool. I seen my grandma and grandpa. (They are deceased) They threw me a birthday party. They put a cake in front of me on the table with a bunch of candles on it. Then told me to make a wish and blow it out. (I specifically making a wish for everyone to be happy.) I started blowing out the candles. I could also feel them helping me blow them all out too.
Next I know I'm talking to my grandmother on the phone. I ask her Grandma aren't you dead? She says yes I am. I said oh ok. Well what is it like? She says oh it's ok, there is no money here but it's nice.
(*That was all I remembered.) My grandparents looked very healthy and happy in the dream also.

That is a lovely dream to have. Must have made you feel comforted to see they were happy.

I was told that if we dream of family or friends who are nolonger with us, it is a way of our minds dealing with the grief and emptiness of not having them in our lives anymore. Don't know how true that is

Sounds like the more likely interpretation Pixie.

I think that way of looking at it Pixie can be true. I personally was never overly close with any of my grandparents. But one in particular I can tell you came to me in dreams for about the first 6 mos after her death continuously. Finally after so many months of dreaming of her and not knowing why I found out what it was she was trying to communicate to me. So while some may dream of deceased loved ones, there is also an easier opening through dreams for the deceased to communicate with you. In your sleep you are a bit more open to the idea of seeing unusual things. While awake most close off that area of the brain. My dreams I group into 2 different categories. One is the normal anytime dreams and the other are the "wierd" dreams. The wierd dreams just feel totally different. I can't really explain it. They don't happen often but when they do the feeling of them is always different.
