Has anyone started watching this series? I haven't seen it yet but I J has been downloading the episodes and is really into it, so I'm going to have to play catch up. Basically, from the sounds of it, it's like a cross between The 4400 and x-men. I shall tell more when I watched some! Just editing the post title to the correct spelling - Danny

Just finished watching the first episode and I have to say I liked what I saw. Not much was given away about the actual plot as the episode was mainly about introducing the main characters but if they get a good storyline to go with the characters then this should become one of my favourite shows.

OK here we go ..... Pix has asked me to post about this series as i have to say it is one of the best new programmes I have watched for a while. HOW CAN I WATCH THIS PAVAlthough not out in the UK yet you can download the episodes from Mininova.org or thesprawl.se/ using a bit torrent software like azureus. This guy seems to be the most reliable source with good quality video and sound. thesprawl.se/SO WHATS IT ALL ABOUTA leading scientist in the field of gentics has been investigating in to humans who have developed abilities out side of the norm. When his son is informed of his brutal murder he flies to new york to continue his fathers search for these people within society. It seems from his fathers research that there is a pattern to the finding of these heroes and also to events that are conspiring......The dustruction of NEW YORK There are several different charcters a painter who is a herion addict but can paint the future. A stripper who has an alter ego split personality. A school girl who can heal herself. My favourite has to be Hiro a Japanese geeky guy who loves comics and star trek and has always wanted to be a superhero. He has the ability to bend space and time and seems to be the pivotal character in the programme. WELL PAV IT SOUNDS LIKE A WEAK VERSION OF X-MENWell although similar in that there are people with genetic mutations there is a distinct difference in that these people all have flaws and there are no costumes. A herion addict a stripper, Geek, politician, nurse, policeman and a cheerleader make up the characters at the moment each are different but none have met. There is also quite a lot of gory sequences that are not the norm in these types of programmes and some sinister enemies with and without abilities. All in all it is the way the programme is filmed that really enhances its appeal it has a very Manga like feel to the series with lots of hidden imagery that links it together. Start watching and bring out the Hero in YOU..........

Just watched the second episode and things are beginning to get intriguing.
The plot is starting to take shape and we are beginning to find out more about the characters and their abilities. I was quite surprised by the amount of gore though - unusual to see so much in a tv show.

I've watched the first four episodes now and it just gets better and better. All the main characters are brilliant, even those without any powers, and the storyline is really addictive.
Hiro is probably my favourite character right now although Niki and her psychotic alter ego is certainly interesting too.

I am just about to watch episode 09 which is called homecoming hopefully we will get to see what happens to the cheerleader and also what happened to Hiro. I am sure everyone has noticed but there seem to be a series of symbols appearing both on the characters and also in the and around the environment, computer screens books etc. As it is coming up to christmas I am sure there will be a break this is a cool site to help organise your viewing www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/#November2006

I'm been suffering with the snots this week (have a smelly cold bug thing) so spent Sunday in bed catching up on Heroes as J was way ahead in the viewing stakes I so can't wait to watch this weeks episode... it is such a cool series. I am glad to say that it does seem to have chilled on the gore factor now (or maybe I'm just becomng oblivious to it?! hmmm.... ) Seeing Hiro meet Peter on the subway all dressed up in his costume with a sword then his reaction to it when he finds out he has a sword made me lots! It also looks like we're seeing the true colours of Niki now...

An excellent programme. I’ve enjoyed the first series immensely and I am looking forward to the next. It is a new twist on the super hero’s theme... no costumes or tights (at least in view). Various powers and evils battle through twisting plots and triangles.
I am someone who grew up (allegedly... that is growing up) on a diet of marvel & DC comics. The adventures of Spiderman, Batman, X-men etc replaced, or run along side, Tin Tin & snowy, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlett and other wooden or paper mashie things (and not forgetting the famous five). My youth and pre youth was TV, comics and all things one shouldn’t do while learning the finer arts of education. Because of these idiosyncrasy – as some may call it – I am what I am today. Therefore Heroes fits into my mentality.
Excellent programme.
